Perry County

Perry County Covered Bridges: Visit the stoic reminders of the area’s rich Dutch Heritage among the pristine countryside! Also known as ‘kissing bridges’, PA Dutch tradition holds that kissing your sweetheart while passing through a covered bridge brings good luck. There are many of the old remnants left to visit to include the Dellville Covered Bridge on Pine Hill Road in Dellville, Adairs Covered Bridge on Route 274 in Loysville, and the Bistline Covered Bridge on Madison Road in Blain to name just a few. Each has its own unique history in our area. Some span 96 feet long and some were built as early as 1864. Call for a free trail guide.
